I'm the maker behind this one-woman business! As a purpose-driven woman, I believe in being intentional in everything I do, and that includes being purposeful about the jewelry I choose to adorn my body with each day. Working with crystals has been instrumental to my healing and spiritual growth, and wearing them is my way of including their magic in my everyday life. Wounded Healing Art was born in the summer of 2019 following the culmination of a challenging first year in graduate school. I was pursuing a Master’s degree in College Counseling and was dedicated to supporting young people as they began writing their life’s stories. Although it had been a rewarding journey, I felt like I was gradually detaching from MY authentic self.
Immersing myself in the world of transformative music festivals (Lightning in a Bottle 2018 is where it really began) became the catalyst for change. Being surrounded by a diverse array of creative energies at these gatherings was deeply inspiring, and I wanted to contribute to it. A desire to transcend my professional identity and reconnect with my authentic self sparked profound transformation, a personal renaissance.
In this exploration, I stumbled upon an old childhood hobby: jewelry-making. Fond memories of crafting earrings in high school, sold at football games and out of my car in the parking lot, resurfaced. Dusting off old supplies, I delved into the art of jewelry-making as an avenue to channel the creative energy rising within me. What began as a personal journey to rediscover joy transformed into the birth of Wounded Healing Art.
This venture, born from the fusion of renewed creativity and reconnection to childhood passions, has become a heartfelt homecoming. I am deeply honored to share this journey with you, as we collectively embrace the transformative power of self-expression and creativity.
