ABOUT CRYSTAL AIR PLANT HANGERS

What is an Air Plant Hanger?

Wounded Healing Art Air Plant Hangers serve as crystal adornments for your home! Think of them as our version of crystal jewelry for your living space. We skillfully wire wrap two rings together to create an "air plant nest," which is designed to hold lightweight air plants. The nest gracefully hangs from a length of chain, crystals, and charms that add a touch of whimsical charm to your living space.

How do I display the air plant hanger in my home?

The air plant hanger features a heavy duty gold o-ring at the top, perfect for placing on a curtain rod. For more versatile hanging options, we also include a gold cup hook that screws into the wall or ceiling and a gold s-hook that you can attach to the cup hook.

What types of air plants should I use?

Our hangers are perfect for displaying a variety of lightweight air plants, also known as tillandsia. We recommend checking out your local nursery or plant shop and inquiring about the following air plants: Tillandsia Ionatha, Tillandsia Bulbosa, Tillandsia Caput Medusae. We do not recommend using our air plant hangers for heavier tillandsia species such as Tillandsia Xerographica. When in doubt, purchase our AIR PLANT ADD ON so we can hand select the perfect tillandsia for your hanger!

Picking a Spot for Your Crystal Air Plant Hanger & Air Plant Care Tips

Tillandsia thrive in bright indirect light, so place your hanger in a spot that receives adequate lighting throughout the day. Avoid spots that get full sun for more than 3 hours per day as direct sun can cause the plants to dry out.

Mist your air plants 2-3 times a week using a spray bottle with a fine mister or soak them in water for about 20-30 minutes once a week. Shake off any excess water to prevent rot. To preserve the quality of the rings in the air plant nest, please remove the plant from the hanger when watering.

They call them air plants for a reason! Ensure good circulation around your plants. After watering, allow them to dry completely in a well-ventilated area.

Place your hanger in a spot in your home that has a temperature range of 50-90°F. Tillandsias prefer warm, humid environments, so avoid placing the hanger near A/C or heating units.
